Tremont Boutique - Banyan Tree

Last week my friend Kristin and I were in Cleveland's Tremont area, 

which is known for its cute restaurants and shops.

We stumbled upon this adorable, trendy boutique called Banyan Tree.

I loved everything from the clothing and jewelry to the decor!

Here are a few pictures I took of some of my favorites

Kristin bought this...super cute, and part of their in house Figwood line

Had a ton of great jewelry!  I bought a pair of long coral and gold earrings.

I took note that they had a lot of cute dresses, and would definitely be back 

if I needed one for a wedding or special occasion.

In addition to the clothing and jewelry they had some really fun handmade 

cards for all occasions!  I bought two!!

This was such a great find on a great day, and will be going back soon!!

Barbie Beauty

I just love this fun Barbie-esque beauty look!

Definitely not your everyday look, but for a fun night out with the girls, this is perfect!!

To complete this look you will need the following:

Bright pink lipstick (don't spend a lot, if it is not a color you would wear much)

Bronzer to give a tanned glow

False eyelashes

Black liquid eye liner, which you will want to swoop out on the sides to give a cat eye effect

Black, Grey and Shimmery White eye shadow.  The white will go in the corners of your eyes, and on the crease.

The star looks cute on her, but personally I would do without.

Do your hair in big luscious curls.

Have FUN, and embrace your inner Barbie this weekend!

The Webster for Target

Target is pairing up with the high-end Miami boutique, The Webster.

The line is launching in stores and online on May 6th.

Coachella 2012 Style - Weekend #1

The star studded annual Cali Coachella music festival started last weekend.

I always love checking out the style coverage online, since I have never been!

I saw a lot of the following: 

DENIM anything, lace, summer dresses, sandals, boots, crop tops,

Navajo style, floppy hats, arm candy and cool sunnies

Here are my favorite looks from the first weekend.

Trend - Modern Grunge

While I was in NY, I was in a store in Soho called Brandy & Melville.

I LOVED it, and all I kept thinking was how everything 

reminded me of modern day grunge!

On the website, they even sell a Nirvana tee...how fitting!!

Kate Moss and Nicole Richie, are both style icons, and do this look well.

Key Elements for this trend:

-Denim (cutoff shorts, jackets, or vests)

-Lace (dresses, tops or shorts)

-Floral Dresses (must be mixed with something not so 

girly, like a denim vest or moto boots)

-Slouchy Sweaters (best off one shoulder)

-Boots (like what Kate has on above)

-Leather Jacket

-Crop Tops

-Black Tights (worn with a grunge dress or cutoff denim shorts)

The thing that makes this look modern is mixing one or two of these pieces into your outfit.

Great look for Summer Music Festivals!

It is a great trend element that makes you look like you have effortless, easy style.

NOTO Fashion Show - May 5th

Happy Friday!!

NOTO Boutique is having their annual fashion show on May 5th!

This will be the Akron fashion event of the year!!

NOTO is a cute little women's boutique in the heart of downtown Akron.

They carry a nice variety of anything from dresses to blazers to jewelry. 

I love it, and shop there quite frequently, because it is so 

refreshing to see something different than what you always see at the malls!

The fashion show will start off a little different this year, with a "Featured 

Designer Challenge".  This challenge will give local and regional designers a chance

to show their goods on the runway.  The winner will be able to expo their

collection at NOTO all summer long!

The show will continue with a high energy fashion show, giving you an 

up-close viewing of the latest NOTO boutique styles.

Following the show all NEW styles will be available for your viewing 

pleasure, and immediate sale.

Day and Night Brunch Party NYC

So, I was in NYC last week, and over the weekend.

I always love visiting NY because of good friends, shopping, and now BRUNCH PARTIES!

Brunches have always been a big thing in the city over the weekend, 

but now two guys from OHIO have taken brunch to a new level at Ajna Bar.

The day starts out at 3pm with a variety of brunch foods that you share with your table such as, 

fresh mozzarella and tomato, sushi, fruit, salad, and then gourmet mini burgers, grilled cheese, etc.

Ladies dress in anything from jeans and a tank top to Herve Leger dresses.

People sip wine and champagne, get wild and dance to house music.

Here are a few my friends and I

I wore a coral sleeveless shirt dress with black tights, booties, and of course stacked bracelets on both arms.

Such a fun event, and a great combo of food and fashion!

Not sure if this trend will ever make it to Ohio, but I recommend it if you are in NYC!
